Annual Event
PTD Workshop
Particle Tracking Detectors Workshop
A dedicated annual workshop for the particle-tracking and detector community, created as a natural follow-up to PTCOG, focused on detector science and its applications in particle therapy.
About the Workshop
First Edition
15 June 2026
Location
Prague, Czech Republic
Participants
70 International Attendees
I founded PTD Workshop as a meeting point for the international particle-tracking and detector community. As a long-standing PTCOG member, I saw that while PTCOG covers the broader particle therapy field, there was no dedicated space for the detector community to gather, share work, and collaborate. PTD Workshop was built for exactly that, focusing on Timepix and similar tracking technologies, dosimetry, LET measurements, and beam characterization.
The first edition, held in June 2026 in Prague, welcomed 70 participants from research centres and universities across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, with scientific sessions, hands-on discussions, and plenty of space for collaboration.
